Job Title: Loan Officer, Group Lending

TEVI MICROFINANCE COMPANY is a fast-growing microfinance institution operating in Dar es Salaam for almost 5 years. We provide demand-oriented financial services aimed at empowering microenterprises.

The company is currently seeking to recruit a qualified, highly motivated, performance-driven, and experienced individual to support the growth of its quality loan book.

Key responsibilities

  1. Perform all company product sales to existing and potential customers to achieve the assigned targets.
  2. Process group clients’ loan applications who meet the described requirements and qualify.
  3. Conduct business, home visits, and analysis of credit worthiness and ability to repay an approved loan application.
  4. Close monitoring of client performance after disbursement, including ensuring the loan is paid on time according to the loan contract
  5. To closely follow up with all delinquent clients and maintain a high-quality loan book within acceptable requirements
  6. Perform all credit activities as described in company policy, processes, and procedures.
  7. Prepare all required daily, weekly, or monthly reports and submit them to your immediate supervisor.
  8. Perform all duties to be assigned by the supervisor.

Skills and experience are required.

  • A minimum diploma in business administration, banking, finance, or any business-related course
  • Good knowledge and experience of group lending operations
  • The successful candidate must have worked in microfinance for at least one year with good performance, particularly group lending.
  • Good knowledge and ability to analyze micro and small businesses
  • Excellent mathematics and communication skills

Job Title: Company Accountant

TEVI MICROFINANCE COMPANY is a fast-growing microfinance institution operating in Dar es Salaam for almost 4 years. We provide demand-oriented financial services aimed at empowering microenterprises.

The company is currently seeking to recruit a qualified, highly motivated, self-disciplined, and experienced accountant to manage the day-to day financial transactions of the company.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare company financial statements (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and yearly) and performance trends.
  • institute a cash and finance management system for the company.
  • Maintain effective controls over all financial disbursements, savings withdrawals, and all receipts and collections (cash and bank deposits).
  • Prepare reports according to regulatory and company requirements.
  • To coordinate internal and external audits and ensure comments are addressed prior to the next audit.
  • To keep accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions
  • Maintains an accurate and updated fixed asset register
  • To perform all company administrative activities
  • Performing any other duties as may be delegated or assigned from time to time.

Skills and experience are required.

  • At least an advanced diploma in accounting with a professional qualification such as a CPA will be an added advantage.
  • The successful candidate must have worked in microfinance for more than

2 years in the same position

  • Experience working with a loan management system is highly desirable.
  • The ability to work with spreadsheets is required.
